Hi my name is Jenny and I am the co-founder of J A Neale Bookkeeping Services based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. 

I started my own practice as I have always had a passion for bookkeeping to help those running a business actually understand how things work.

My career did not directly start out down this line initially for one reason or another. My first job was however was in payroll which eventually lead to my career in bookkeeping and payroll.

During my years of being employed, I continued with my studies.  After starting a family and more investment in my studies, I had the opportunity to set up my own practice offering bookkeeping and payroll services.

Working as freelancer has given me the opportunity to work with various businesses in several sectors and a realisation that even in the same sectors, businesses are all unique and have their own identity and way of managing and understanding of their finances or ways of doing business. Therefore, I understand the importance for every business to have the flexibility to customise their accounting in a way that works best for them.  

Our client base is not just centred loacally Bury St Edmunds we are able to work remotely with clients further afield maximising technology and saving you time by offering remote bookkeeping services.

In my time of running my own practice I have also made some, astonishing achievements and was awarded the Clever Cloggs Training Bookkeeper of The Year Award in 2011. Followed by being nominated finalist for The Bookkeeper's Network (BKN Bookkeeping) Award in 2012. By 2013 I won the IAB Bookkeeper of the Year Award and was nominated IAB Finalist Bookkeeper of the Year Award in 2022.

I am passionate about what I do in helping businesses manage and understand the ever-changing world of compliance in keeping their business accounting records up to date. 

I am a firm believer that there is always something new to learn from everything we do and that there is always something we can do better not just to help ourselves but to help those around us.
